Upcoming Fundraiser: Walk-A-Thon June 1st
Twillingate Community Playground/Fitness Park
Fundraising Event
Please Support!
WHAT: A Giant Community Walk-A-Thon
WHEN: June 1st , 2011
WHY: We need to raise approx. $75,000 before our playground build day on August 6th, 2011!
Details: On June 1st , different groups throughout Twillingate will participate in a walk-a-thon to raise money for our Community Playground/Fitness Park. We are asking you, as an individual or for your group to help support us by taking a pledge sheet and collecting donations. Then on June 1st, join together as a community in a walk around Hospital Pond anytime between 4pm & 7pm.
Remember, for every dollar raised, Let Them Be Kids will match it with another dollar!
NOTE: if all students in elementary/high school had only 20 dollars in pledges, we would get $6000.00. Through the LTBK award, this becomes a $12, 000.00 fundraiser. This can really be a Giant walk-a-thon...Let’s make this happen!!!
Pledge sheets will be given to all students of J.M.O.C. and T.I.E. this week, and are also available through any committee member for any member of the community who wishes to walk for our cause! We look forward to seeing everyone at the walk! Thank you for your support!

Dot-Mocracy
Today we held our Dot-Mocracy to allow the children of our community to "vote" on which playground equipment they would like to see in our new playground. The results will be compiled and used to create a design for the playground we will build on August 6th. We should have the first design in about 3 or 4 days. When we get the design, we will of course share it with all of you, but for now, here are a few pictures of our "Dot-Mocracy" from today.
