- We are in need of some supplies to help make Build Day a success. There is a complete list below, but some items, such as wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, etc. are needed in large amounts, so please if you can bring one or more do so on Saturday. Ask around to neighbors, families and friends as well, they may not be able to be there on Saturday but can help out in this way. It would be very much appreciated!
- A more complete schedule of events will be posted within the next couple days, but for now here is a quick run down of what is going to happen on Saturday.
- 8:00am Registration and assignment of tasks, playground build begins.
- 10:00am Children's activities begin at the ballfield (or stadium is weather is not favorable). Please remember that all children younger than 4 must be accompanied by a caregiver 16 years old or older to participate. The YMCA and Twillingate Recreation Committee have been working together to plan a fun day for the kids, and of course we want as many kids there as possible to open the playground!
- 11:30am Lunch break begins. Volunteers will be assigned a colored group to make this run smoothly, details to come on Build Day.
- 1:00pm Playground build resumes.
- 3:00pm Opening Ceremonies (group photo will be taken before the opening ceremonies).
